Digital Connectivity Program Manager

At Dentsply Sirona, I was responsible for all digital integrations and connectivity to enable ordering of Atlantis Patient-Specific Custom Abutments via the doctor’s scanner of choice.

Enabling different dental scanners (Align’s iTero; 3Shape’s Trios and D700; Denstply Sirona’s CEREC Omnicam, Primescan, and inLab X5) lowered the barrier to entry for dental clinicians and laboratories. This means patients (hopefully not you!) get their tooth restorations faster – sometimes in as little as one day. Intraoral scanners completely remove the need for a physical impression and stone model to be poured; this alone removes 3-5 days from the tooth restoration workflow.

I also oversaw continued development of Atlantis Core File, a 3D representation of the abutment being manufactured for the patient. This enables dental professionals to get started on the CAD/CAM of the final crown, even before receiving the manufactured abutment back.

To further enable faster tooth restorations, I led a project to utilize a machine learning algorithm which would allow abutment and crown designs to be created chairside, while the patient was still in the office.

During my tenure, Digital Connectivity workflows and Atlantis Core File increased Implants-based revenue by 15% ($3M). With my programs, Dentsply saw 11% yearly growth and increased customer adoption by 36%

Leading the technical teams in requirement definition and development was instrumental in my professional development to understand how we translate user needs and voice of customer to technical specification.
